HERMON, Maine (WABI) - After an incredibly successful Turkey Telethon here at WABI the work keeps on going.
We stopped by the Penobscot Snowmobile Club in Hermon Friday.
That’s where the Neighbors Supporting Neighbors Community Pantry was holding its regularly scheduled food box distribution.
In addition to all the regular items, clients were also able to pick up their Thanksgiving boxes Friday. Those included the turkeys from Penquis.
“We have fresh potatoes from USDA, and the turkeys from the Penquis and Channel 5 Turkey Drive, and stuffing. Everything [that] goes with it,” said Carol Lackedy, director, Neighbors Supporting Neighbors. “It means the world to us. We love our clients. We love seeing them. We love talking to them. We love giving to them. And that’s what we’re here to do.
