Andrew Friedman and Farhan Zaidi have new jobs. Sort of.
The Dodgers executives have taken on advisory roles with the Lakers, according to a report from ESPN .
Friedman and Zaidi are said to be helping Mark Walter, who also owns the Dodgers, as ownership of the franchise transfers to him from the Buss family.
Zaidi, who rejoined the Dodgers as a special advisor earlier this year, is serving as Walter’s representative in the transition, per ESPN.
Friedman, the Dodgers’ longtime president of baseball operations, is reportedly consulting for Lakers president of basketball operations Rob Pelinka.
The statistically inclined Friedman and Zaidi have decades of combined experience in baseball front offices and are seen as some of the most analytical minds in the sport.
