Travis Weaver, Illinois State Representative from the 93rd District | Official Website
Illinois State Representative Travis Weaver has launched a petition urging Governor J.B. Pritzker to veto SB 1950, legislation that would legalize physician-assisted suicide in Illinois. The bill has passed both the House and Senate and is awaiting the governor's decision.
Weaver stated, "While I recognize the importance of compassionate end-of-life care, I believe SB1950 poses serious ethical, medical, and societal risks."
Constituents are invited to sign the petition on Weaver’s website.
Weaver, a Republican, was elected to the Illinois State House in 2023 to represent the state's 93rd House District, succeeding Norine Hammond.
