Lena Dunham ‘s Netflix show Too Much is done after one season.

The 39-year-old actress and writer co-created the series with her husband Luis Ferber . It was inspired by their real romance.

But at the FYC panel, Lena explained that they only intended to make it a limited series, so it’s not a big shock that it won’t get a season 2, per Deadline .

“Our intention was always to make Too Much as a limited series,” the Girls alum said. “It was meant to feel like a classic transatlantic love story but with time to really dig into the complexities that a film doesn’t have the space for.”

The show revolved around the love story between characters Jessica and Felix, played by Meg Stalter and Will Sharpe . All 10 episodes debuted in July 2025.
