Kingsley will play for the Division 3 state title in volleyball after beating defending state champion Monroe St. Mary 17-25, 25-19, 25-23, 8-25, 17-15 in Friday’s semifinal.

The Stags, who have not lost a match since September 6, got 59 assists from Sarah Wooer, dishing out 33 kills for Jenna Middleton and 17 for Aizlyn McKinley, who also led the team with 30 digs.

The Kestrels got 25 kills from Madleine Dettling and 20 from Olivia Beaudrie. Alexa Turner had 38 assists. Reese Foster had 18 assists. Beaudrie had 36 digs.

The teams split the first two sets before Kingsley held St. Mary off late in the third. St. Mary then raced out to a 12-3 lead and cruised to a win in the fourth.
