A man is dead and another person is injured after a hit-and-run crash on Chef Menteur Highway.

New Orleans police responded to the scene shortly before 5:55 p.m. in the 6300 block of Chef Menteur Highway. Advertisement

All lanes of Chef Menteur Hwy are closed due to the crash.

A 63-year-old man was found dead on the scene, and another man was transported to the hospital.

According to police, the car is a tan-colored hatchback automobile that should have damage to the left side and front.
