MT. CLEMENS, MI – A 30-year-old Clinton Township woman has been found guilty of assault with intent to murder after reportedly stabbing her boyfriend 14 times in July 2024.
Jennifer Hayes was convicted on Friday, Nov. 21, in Macomb County Circuit Court after a five-and-a-half-day jury trial.
Now, the 30-year-old faces up to life in prison ahead of a sentencing set for 8:30 a.m. Jan. 8, according to the Macomb County prosecutor’s office.
Hayes was originally alleged to have stabbed her boyfriend multiple times at his Clinton Township residence in an incident July 3, 2024.
Among his injuries was one stab wound to the side of his neck, and he later recovered.
