EYOTA TOWNSHIP, Minn. - A fatal collision between a semi and car happened Friday afternoon in Olmsted County.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a 2023 Freightliner semi was heading north on Olmsted County Road 7 and an eastbound 2008 Chevrolet Impala on Interstate 90 was taking the exit ramp across County Road 7. The two vehicles crashed around 1:45 pm.

The State Patrol describes this as a fatal collision but has not released the names or conditions of those involved.

The semi was driven by a 37-year-old man from Rochester. The Impala was driven by a 41-year-old man from Hayward, Wisconsin, with a 34-year-old female passenger from La Crosse, Wisconsin.

The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, Eyota Fire & Ambulance, Mayo Clinic Ambulance, and Minnesota Department of Transportation assisted
