HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaii football fans are very familiar with Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele’s work, and it hasn’t taken long for the rest of the country to see his skill set.
The state’s all-time leading passer is now a certified star at Cal Berkeley.
“I don’t really see too much of it just because I try to stay off of social media as much as I can. I’m just really focused on the team but I also take it as a blessing because it also brings national attention to our team,” said Sagapolutele.
After arriving on campus, he didn’t waste time making an impact, slinging three touchdowns in a win over Oregon State becoming the first Cal quarterback to start a season-opener as a true freshman since Jared Goff in 2013.
