LIHUE (HawaiiNewsNow) - A visitor who died after he was pulled from Kalapaki Bay has been identified.

The Kauai Police Department said Liming Xu, 67, was visiting Kauai from Rhode Island.

First responders were dispatched to the bay at around 12:30 p.m. following reports of an unresponsive man in the water.

The Kauai Fire Department and the U.S. Coast Guard brought Xu to shore and performed CPR, said investigators.

Medics treated and took Xu to Wilcox Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy is pending. Police said foul play is not suspected.
