The Celtics usual parquet court at TD Garden will be getting a green makeover for the third straight season during NBA Cup games starting Friday night against the Hawks.
The Celtics will be hosting their first NBA Cup game of the season against the Nets Friday night. All 30 NBA teams have different courts for the third straight season to promote awareness of the in-season tournament. Boston will use a court with a lighter shade of green this year with an NBA Cup logo in the middle of the floor.
Boston has split their first two NBA Cup road games, beating the Philadelphia 76ers 109-108 on Halloween night and losing to the Magic 123-110 on Nov. 7 in Orlando.
