ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -FBI Director Kash Patel met with federal agents and local law enforcement leaders Friday in a closed-door session, but officials provided few details about what was discussed during the hours-long meeting.
Patel did not speak to media after the session. Instead, two former Missouri attorneys general, U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt and FBI Co-Deputy Director Andrew Bailey, briefly addressed reporters about combating violent crime in St. Louis.
“This is personal for me. This is my hometown. It’s where I still live. I want St. Louis to do well. I want people to feel safe,” Schmitt said.
Schmitt said he was “really gratified that Director Kash Patel, who was here, gave a great briefing.”
