CHANDLER, AZ (AZFamily) — A popular Chandler restaurant was ransacked early Friday morning, reportedly taking thousands of dollars’ worth of cash and equipment.

James Swann, the owner of ‘Craft 64,’ near Arizona Avenue and Chandler Boulevard , told Arizona’s Family that the thieves took everything they could get their hands on at the downtown eatery.

He said that, in addition to money and tools, even the security system was reportedly taken, leaving a hefty mess.

Swann’s lead chef arrived at work early Friday morning and found shattered glass and scattered pieces of drywall. He thinks the bandit swooped in through a single glass window in the back of the restaurant.

“Someone had to hang on this fire escape, swing and kick and kick to get that open,” said Swann.
