For an entire half of football Friday, Twin Valley was locked in a back-and-forth battle with Susquehanna Township in the District 3 4A football title round.
Both sides landed at ELCO High School with perfect 12-0 records, each hoping to claim a gold medal for the first time.
Engle and Twin Valley’s relentless rushing attack won the fight.
The Raiders’ bell cow back rang up 283 rushing yards and three touchdowns as a third-seeded Twin Valley snared a 41-21 victory over the top-seeded Indians.
In all, the Raiders (13-0), helped mightily by RB Lucas Myers and a convincing offensive line, produced 402 yards on the ground.
