WOODVILLE, Wis. (WBAY) - A 22-year-old man is in Calumet County Jail on a homicide charge after a 56-year-old man died of a gunshot wound on Friday.

On Friday, just before 1 p.m., the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in Woodville for a report of a disturbance that resulted in a man being shot.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found an unresponsive 56-year-old man with a gunshot wound. First responders administered life-saving measures, but the man died of his injuries.

Deputies say that a 22-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene and booked into Calumet County Jail on a First-Degree Intentional Homicide charge.

No other information has been released by authorities.
