COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Sophomore wing Max Plante registered a hat trick to lead fourth-ranked Minnesota Duluth to a 4-2 victory over Colorado College in NCHC play before a sold-out crowd of 3,457 at Ed Robson Arena.

Fifth-year senior center Kyler Kovich scored first the Bulldogs, followed by Plante with a pair of 5-on-3 power play goals and an empty netter in the final minute.

The Tigers got their goals from sophomore wing Gavin Lindberg and freshman center Connor Hvidston to take a 2-1 lead into the first intermission.

Bulldogs sophomore goaltender Adam Gajan stopped 18 shots while Tigers senior goaltender Kaidan Mbereko finished with 26 saves.
