LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
St. X swept the season series with Male, following up its 38-7 regular season win with a 31-14 victory in the KHSAA state playoff quarterfinals.
The Bulldogs jumped out to an early first-half lead. Steron Davidson scored the game's first touchdown to put Male up 7-0. Then the Bulldogs added another score on their second possession. Quarterback Jordan Williams connected with a wide-open Christian White as Male built up a 14-3 lead midway through the second quarter.
The Tigers' Wyatt Graven found the endzone for St. X late in the quarter for the team's first touchdown.
Male led 14-10 at the break, but it was St. X the rest of the way. The Tigers dominated the final two quarters, scoring 21 points in the second half while posting a second-half shutout.
