Adilabad: A new mother and her infant died due to alleged negligence of doctors at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Adilabad, on Friday.
Family members said that Chikram Rukmabai (26) from Shanthapur in Gudihathnoor mandal delivered a baby boy at the institute on Thursday. The infant reportedly developed some illness and died by midnight after his condition deteriorated. The mother also died early on Friday morning, with relatives alleging that she fell from her bed.
