A Birmingham woman has issued a warning after she was punched in the face walking to work in Birmingham city centre.

Lo Ranfaing co-founder of Girls Club Birmingham , was left with a bloody nose after the unprovoked assault as she walked one of two routes from Broadway Plaza car park to Brindleyplace back in June.

She has opened up on the moment she was suddenly attacked by a stranger on Grosvenor Street West as she said: "You never think it's going to happen to you."

The 24-year-old, a full time paralegal who runs the club in her spare time, said her nose was left bleeding after the attack.

She said: "I was walking past the shops and what I originally thought was colliding with a man, was not. He actually just punched me in the face. Not severely, more like an elbow.
