Wet Leg are an English indie rock band from the Isle of Wight
Wet Leg’s set at Cardiff Students' Union turned out to be one of those gigs that reminds you why live music feels so special. Before the band even stepped on stage one of my favourite parts of going to a show was already in full effect: the audience.
It was a brilliantly mixed crowd — groups of friends clearly discovering the band together, parents with their children sharing a first gig experience, and fans of all ages ready for a good night creating a warm communal atmosphere.
Some of the band's recent concert reviews described performances a bit flat and lacking the "spark" or "chaos" of their early days, suggesting they may be caught between their oddball origins and a more mainstream pop sound.
