CLEVELAND -- The first eight minutes of Friday's fourth quarter were about as good of a response to a terrible third period as the Pacers could ask for.
After surrendering 38 third-quarter points, they gave up a pull-up Donovan Mitchell 3-pointer on the first possession of the period, but then proceeded to hold the preseason Eastern Conference favorites without a point for nearly six minutes during a 14-0 run that cut a 22-point deficit down to eight. The Cavs got back-to-back layups from forward De'Andre Hunter, but Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard drove and threw an alley-oop to center Isaiah Jackson for a layup, and as of the 4 minute mark of the fourth quarter, they had outscored Cleveland 16-7 in the period and held the Cavs to 3 of 14 shooting.
