Vito Quaranta

Vito Quaranta, 93, of Mercer Island, WA died on Oct 27, 2025. He was born in Monroe, WA.

Vito graduated from Monroe High School, attended Central Washington College and graduated

from the University of Washington with a BS in Pharmacy. He entered the Navy serving in the Korean war, honorably discharged from the Marine Corp as a medic. This experience introduced him to pharmacy, which became his chosen career. He was a successful pharmacist and entrepreneur, managing and owning several independent pharmacies in Bellevue, Redmond and Mercer Island. He owned and operated Lakeside Mercer Drug on the south end of Mercer Island for 40+ years. He also owned a small burger joint, The Other End, in the same shopping center.
