Documents linked to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein has been handed over to the US House Oversight Committee — and the released material includes references to a number of well-known public figures.
The papers, totalling more than 23,000 documents, contain mentions of individuals ranging from royals and former prime ministers to cultural icons and celebrities.
While Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is the most frequently referenced British name in the material, appearing 173 times, several other prominent figures are also listed in various contexts.
Committee members have stressed that being named does not indicate any wrongdoing, and that references range from diary planning notes and media discussions to event attendance or general social contact, report
