Romeo Oseguera nailed a 27-yard field goal with 35 seconds left in the third quarter to snap a 21-21 tie and put Hot Springs Lakeside ahead to stay as it held on to beat Greenbrier 24-21 in the second round of the Class 5A state playoffs Friday at Don Jones Stadium in Greenbrier.

The win was the second consecutive road upset for the No. 3 seed Rams, who blasted No. 2 seed Searcy 56-34 a week ago. This time, Lakeside (8-3) took out a top-seeded team by scoring 10 unanswered points to erase a second-half deficit.

The Rams got a 5-yard touchdown run from Peter Ohman with 8:07 left in the first quarter to seize a 7-0 lead. Greenbrier (11-1), which had won 10 of its first 11 games by double figures, tied the game with 7:04 remaining on a 5-yard scoring run from Enoch Assan.
