On Saturday at 2:47 a.m. a dense fog advisory was released by the National Weather Service in effect until 10 a.m. for Eastern Curry County and Josephine County and Jackson County.
The weather service comments, "Visibility one quarter of a mile or less in dense fog expected."
"Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous. With temperatures near or just below freezing in some areas, freezing fog is also possible, which could result in slick spots," says the weather service. "If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you."
Guidance from the weather service for navigating foggy conditions
When a dense fog advisory is issued for your area, it means that widespread dense fog has developed and visibility can plummet to a quarter-mile or less.
