Television chef James Martin heaped praise upon a guest appearing on his ITV programme Saturday Morning today (November 22), presenting a heartfelt homage to him.

The presenter revealed he had visited York bakery Cosgriff and Sons "incognito", which focuses on sourdough bread production. He disclosed that he had joined numerous keen customers and waited in line during the early morning hours to obtain a loaf, donning a hat to conceal his identity.

He transported the loaf back home and enjoyed it with his mother, remembering: "I went wow, there's a reason why people are queueing up for this."
