A skeletal 14-year-old girl has been rescued from a house of horrors, where it's been alleged she was nearly starved to death by her obese members of her own family, in what officers have described as the worst case of neglect officers have ever seen

After responding to an emergency call, police officers discovered a 14-year-old girl so malnourished, they initially estimated her age to be around six to eight years old. Then the true horror of her situation began to emerge.

The unnamed teenager, who lived in a trailer with her family, was found to be severely malnourished after her father, Walter Goodman, called emergency services to the scene on August 21, telling them that his daughter was vomiting, comatose and extremely thin.
