The long wait for electricity is finally coming to an end for residents of Subarnapur village under Dharakote block in Ganjam district, as electrification work has begun at a rapid pace following the Chief Minister’s direct intervention.

Subarnapur, a tribal-dominated hamlet, had remained without electricity for years due to lack of infrastructure. The issue came to light after a report was aired on OTV, prompting the Chief Minister to take immediate note of the situation and direct the district administration to ensure power supply to the village without delay.

Acting on the instructions, officials initiated work on a war footing. As of now, around 15 electric poles have already been installed, and wire-laying is underway. With the final steps toward electrification now in progress, joy
