LIVE FROM NEW YORK — “Saturday Night Live” is taking its second break of the season.
There will not be a new episode Saturday, Nov. 22, but the late-night sketch comedy series will return Saturday, Dec. 6, with host Melissa McCarthy and musical guest Dijon.
This marks McCarthy’s sixth time hosting, her first since 2017, and musician Dijon’s “SNL” debut.
The show kicked off its 51st season on Oct. 4 with musician Bad Bunny as host and musical guest Doja Cat performing.
On Oct. 11, former SNL cast member Amy Poehler hosted alongside musical guest Role Model. Poehler anchored “Weekend Update” during her tenure and has hosted twice before — once in 2010 and again in 2015 alongside Tina Fey, who made a surprise appearance during Saturday’s cold open .
