A Christmas shopping grotto has bought a tiny UK village to a standstill. Gordon Rigg Garden Centre, in Walsden, near Todmorden in Greater Manchester , has reportedly attracted "coachloads" of people from across the county, with queues plagueing the settlement's main road. Earlier this month, a Christmas fayre attracted about 40 handmade craft, gift and food stalls, and visitors waiting in traffic , with parking marshals on hand to direct vehicles.

It is happening again this weekend, and is set to include performances from children at Performance Academy and the Pendle Brass Band. It is understood that there are some residents who are disgruntled at inconsiderate drivers parking in places that causes disruption.
