Marks & Spencer is looking to expand its food empire after the devastating cyber attack that cost the retailer millions. The company has launched plans for hundreds of new grocery shop locations across the UK.

The beginning of the year saw Marks & Spencer lose £324 million after a ransomware attack, where personal customer data was taken including people's names, home addresses, phone numbers or email addresses. Recovering from the attack, the retailer now plans to open 180 mixed stores and 420 food-only shops over the next few years, The Mirror is reporting .

Plans include 200 potential sites across London and in zones two and three of the city, it is searching for shops of between 10,000 and 18,000 sq ft in size. Dedicated or nearby parking and good access to pub
