ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - The Christmas spirit was on full display this Saturday as the Jacksonville Christmas Holiday Parade kicked off the festive season in Eastern Carolina.

This year marks 71 years that the Jacksonville-Onslow Chamber of Commerce has been putting on the parade.

The theme of this year’s parade was “A Storybook Christmas” and featured classic Christmas characters leaping from the pages of beloved holiday books.

The parade was filled with holiday magic, as crowds gathered to watch multiple floats, including Santa Claus riding on top of a firetruck.

WITN’s Courtney Bunting and Dave Jordan joined the festivities at Western Boulevard, with live WITN coverage brought to you by FirstLight Home Care.
