MORGAN Whittaker was on target as Middlesbrough came from behind to salvage a point at Oxford United.
Boro trailed to Luke Harris’s first half opener but Whittaker turned in Callum Brittain’s cross nine minutes after the restart.
Boro – who were again led by Adi Viveash ahead of next week’s appointment of Kim Hellberg as boss – pushed for a winner but couldn’t turn one point into three.
Boro remain second and they extended the gap to third place Stoke to three points after the Potters lost at Leicester.
