NORTHERN MICHIGAN - Hey skiers and snowboarders, now that we’re on the cusp of what could be another good, old-fashioned Michigan winter, how excited are we getting?

At least one Upper Peninsula ski resort opened this week - We see you, Ski Brule - and other Up North resorts have been testing their snow guns for the last month. Diehard skiers have been posting webcam photos on social media every time a new downhill area is seen making snow.

The excitement is palpable. In its newsletter this weekend, Boyne Mountain said what we’re all feeling: “Winter is coming. And we are so ready for it.”
