YOUNGSTOWN - An indoor polka Mass and celebration, hosted by the Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel – St. Anthony of Padua Parish, will be held Saturday November 22.

The Mass is set to begin at 4:00 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1125 Turin Ave. in Youngstown, featuring Rex Taneri and his Orchestra; the Mass is free and open to the public.

A Polka Mass is similar to a typical Catholic Mass but includes traditional polka-style music within the hymns; instruments also vary but typically include accordions, guitars and drums. This is all in celebration of the parish's ethnic heritage.
