SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A building at Lakeside Recreational Center’s golf course caught fire.
On Nov. 22, at 9:15 a.m., the Shreveport Fire Department (SFD) responded to a report of a fire from a building at the Lakeside Recreational Center golf course.
When firefighters got to the scene, they discovered heavy smoke and visible flames coming from a building.
Firefighters used a rapid offensive attack to stop further damage and to limit damage from surrounding facilities.
The fire was contained by 9:29 a.m.
All recreational activities that were taking place were temporarily postponed until the premises was deemed safe.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental but remains under investigation at this time by the SFD.
