Strictly Come Dancing has announced a huge twist following a sad announcement during its Blackpool week , with the structure of the competition being altered. As one contestant sadly withdrew, a rule change was brought in.

It was announced earlier this week that La Voix and Aljaž Škorjanec had withdrawn from tonight's show after the RuPaul's Drag Race star suffered an injury, and it was quickly confirmed tonight by host Tess Daly that the pair would play no further part in the competition.

"We love you so much," added Claudia Winkleman, with Tess echoing the sentiments of her co-star. In a further development, it was confirmed that no elimination would be taking place this weekend.
