Pep Guardiola talks with Bruno Guimaraes after the Premier League match between Newcastle United and Manchester City at St James' Park

Pep Guardiola has explained what happened at full-time after he confronted Bruno Guimaraes on the pitch after Newcastle United's 2-1 win over Man City.

The Man City boss made a beeline for the Brazilian and looked like he'd lost his cool before storming off the field. The incident also resulted in Joelinton being marched away by Newcastle performance director James Bunce as tempers flared.

It later emerged that Newcastle officials were advised to get Joelinton back down the tunnel and out of harm's way.

Gianluigi Donnarumma had also clashed with Newcastle players and was involved in a verbal slanging match with Newcastle assistant Jason Tindall.
