The Northwestern Wildcats are bowl-eligible after a thrilling 38-35 win over Minnesota at Wrigley Field Saturday.

The Wildcats snapped a three-game losing streak to earn their sixth victory of the season, using a lengthy final drive to notch a hard-fought win over the Golden Gophers at the Friendly Confines.

Quarterback Preston Stone was 25-of-30 for 305 yards and two touchdowns for Northwestern, and kicker Jack Olson made three field goals, including the 33-yard winner with 53 seconds remaining in regulation.

The Gophers led the game 21-13 at halftime, but Northwestern’s offense came alive in the second half, notching 25 points and dominating time of possession in the frame.
