Robbie Savage
“It’s just so frustrating because draws aren’t good enough in this league,” Forest Green Rovers manager Robbie Savage said after their 1-1 draw against Wealdstone at Grosvenor Vale.
Coventry City loanee Isaac Moore’s first-half glancing header was cancelled out midway through the second period by Micah Obiero, who converted a back-post scramble.
“I don’t think I’ve ever been more frustrated. We’ve had 30 shots and scored one goal, they’ve had three and scored one,” Savage said.
“We can’t keep creating this many chances and only scoring one goal and then making a mistake defensively.
“We should be coming here and winning, we’ve created enough chances to win, but it was a draw, credit to them, the pitch held up well, and for 88 minutes my team were outstanding.”
