M5 traffic this morning after the nearby crash

A man has been rushed to hospital after a crash on the M5 in Gloucestershire this morning.

Police were called to the scene between junctions 13 (Stroud) and 14 (Falfield) shortly before 5am following reports that a single vehicle had left the carriageway.

The motorway was closed northbound, with a diversion put in place .

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Police said: "Police were called just before 5am this morning (Sunday 23 November) with a report of a single vehicle collision on the M5 northbound.

"It was reported that a vehicle had left the carriageway between junction 14 and junction 13. Closures were put in place while the occupants of the vehicle were assessed by paramedics and the vehicle was recovered.
