A Republican state senator is pressuring the Shapiro administration to share more detailed records within the next two weeks on $1 million in security upgrades at Gov. Josh Shapiro’s private residence or face a subpoena from a Senate committee.

Sen. Jarrett Coleman, who chairs the Intergovernmental Operations Committee, wrote Wednesday to the Pennsylvania State Police and Abington Township’s open records officer seeking a host of documents and communications by Dec. 3, according to letters obtained by the Post-Gazette. The Lehigh County senator wrote that he was offering the officials a chance to comply with his requests “before the committee authorizes the issuance of a subpoena.”
