Seton LaSalle coach Tim Storino’s brother — offensive coordinator David Storino — added it to the playbook on Monday. The Rebels hadn’t practiced it much, perhaps because it was, in fact, a little psycho.
The call is for senior Duquesne recruit Will Martin, a bruising 6-foot-3, 215-pound linebacker and tight end, to line up as a Wildcat quarterback and take the direct snap for a run. Martin had three touchdowns to his name all season. He’s endured multiple hand injuries this year and only got a cast off two weeks ago.
But he had a feeling.
“I said, ‘That’s going to win us a WPIAL championship,’ ” Martin said.
