PHOENIX — Measurable rain and wet weather returned to the Valley on Saturday afternoon following a brief break from activity on Friday.

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, which the National Weather Service (NWS) uses for official rain readings, saw 0.03 inches of rain fall around 4:15 p.m.
Other East Valley cities, such as Gilbert, saw 0.12 inches fall in parts of the area, while parts of Mesa saw 0.16 inches.
Rain returned throughout the Valley after seeing 0.37 inches of rain Monday through Thursday.
The NWS forecasted rain and possibly a few thunderstorms throughout Phoenix around 2:50 p.m.
