ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -A man was charged Friday for a deadly 2022 shooting on the 4th of July.

According to court documents, Roosevelt Livingston, 20, was charged with one count of first-degree murder.

Documents state that on July 4, 2022, Lamantris Sample, 18, was walking to the parking lot of a Mobil Gas Station at the 4900 block of St. Louis Avenue. On surveillance video, Livingston is seen exiting his car and shooting at Sample as he is running away.

The Sample was transported to an area hospital after being hit by gunfire. He was later pronounced dead.

When Livingston left the scene, he was seen on video dropping his hat. The hat contained DNA that was connected to Livingston.
