Four mid-Missouri law enforcement agencies faced-off Saturday in the first annual "Battle of the Badges" toy drive for The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program.
The Jefferson City Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop F, Missouri Department of Public Safety Capitol Police and Cole County Sheriff's Office competed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Walmart on Stadium Boulevard in Jefferson City.
Major Chris Clarke of The Salvation Army in Jefferson City said he hoped for a good amount of donations.
"We have four different departments out helping us collect toys today," Clarke said during the event. "We're actually going to keep track of toys from each department as well as donations from the red kettle."
