LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A man was shot and killed on Friday in the Russell neighborhood, according to Louisville Metro Police.

Officers responded to a call at around 8:40 p.m. of a shooting in the 2700 block of Cedar Street on Friday, Nov. 21.

At the scene, police found a man in his 30s who had been shot in the face. He was declared dead at the scene.

At the time, LMPD said they had the shooter in custody and on Saturday morning announced the arrest of a woman.

Maria Swann, 25, has been charged with murder- domestic violence. Police said Swann and the victim were living together and were in a relationship.

On Saturday, Nov. 22, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 27-year-old Isaiah J. Washington.
