PORTLAND, Ore. — Over 5,000 Pacific Power customers were impacted by an outage in Southeast and Northeast Portland for several hours on Saturday afternoon and evening.
According to Pacific Power, there was an issue at a substation. The outage was reported around 3:00 p.m.
The utility's outage map said that as many as 5,138 customers were affected by the outage in the 97213, 97215, 97216, 97220, and 97230 zip codes.
Crews worked well into the evening to find the cause and restore power in the area.
KGW received word that power had partially been restored by around 8:45 p.m. with restoration to nearly all customers in the affected area occurring by around 10:45 p.m.
