Michigan, even without two starters, kept alive that postseason goal with a 45-20 defeat of Maryland at SECU Stadium, as backup running back Bryson Kuzdzal, a former walk-on, carried the workload for the Wolverines and scored three touchdowns.

Michigan is 9-2, 7-1 Big Ten, while the Terps fall to 4-7, 1-7.

Freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood was 16 of 23 for 215 yards and two touchdowns, Michigan’s first touchdown passes in four games. Andrew Marsh had five catches for 76 yards and a score, and Kuzdzal finished with 100 yards on 20 carries.
