COLLEGE PARK, Md. — In the game before The Game, Michigan football handled business.
The 18th-ranked Wolverines cruised to victory with 443 yards of total offense, avoiding any late-game drama to beat Maryland, 45-20, at SECU Stadium.
Michigan’s win marks its fifth in a row and moves Sherrone Moore’s team to 9-2 on the season and 7-1 in the Big Ten, keeping it alive in the bunched up Big Ten race and College Football Playoff field.
Quarterback Bryce Underwood bounced back nicely from the two late interceptions last week against Northwestern, completing 16 of his 23 pass attempts for 215 yards and two touchdowns.
Freshman Andrew Marsh led the team in receptions once again, with five for 76 yards, while Underwood got some help from Donaven McCulley (two catches, 46 yards) and Marlin Klei
